Hi all,
I am trying to bind an calendar control in my repeater control. The tag for calender control i.e "<asp:calendar id='cl1' runat='server'> </asp:calendar>" comes from the database and bind in the repeater control as "<%#DataBinder.Eval(Container.DataItem, "functional_area_type")%>". But at runtime there is no calender dispalying, when I saw the code in view source i can able to see the tag "<asp:calendar id='cl1' runat='server'> </asp:calendar>" in my page.
Can any one guide me how to solve this problem??
Thanks all

That's because you treat the ASP.NET markup as text, not a real control and you simply send out the text to the repeater. What you might need to do is to pass in this string to the ParseControl[^] method, then add the result control to the Repeater.

Hello All,
I am working on a web application that uses an IFRAME. Now the IFRAME is working fine when the site was on my local machine. When I moved it to the server, it is not showing anything in the IFRAME and the IFRAME source is also blank. I have asked my friend to open the site, the IFRAME is working fine there. But with some machines...not.
What is going wrong?? Any suggestion?
Please help me out!

Is there a way to retain the layout of the TreeView (e.g. which nodes are expanded and which are not) between postbacks. If I set a certain expansion level, it will expand all of the nodes to that level. If I set that to zero, everything is collapsed after the postback even though I've expanded the treeview to drill down to the item I'm working on. This would make the treeview almost pointless if there is no way to retain where you are currently navigation wise.
Any ideas?
Thanks for your help.

Hi Matt,
Actually, the TreeView control retains its state on postback, but if you happen to call the Expand method of the TreeView control, all the tree nodes are expanded based on the specified level. To drill down to the node that you are working on, you may consider using the method of the TreeNode instead of the TreeView.

Thanks for your response. I appreciate it.
I'm not able to get the behavior that you have mentioned. I went back through my code and made sure I'm never calling expand or collapse and I still have all nodes collapsed when I click one of my links in the view. The only other possibilities I can think of are:
1) My ExpandDepth property is set to 0
2) I am loading the data dynamically when !IsPostBack
Any other ideas?
Thanks.

Sorry for my late reply because of the weekend, if you already manage to solve your issue, you can skip my below questions:
+ Do you populate the TreeNodes on demand or you simply load all nodes in the Page_Load with the checking on the !IsPostBack.
+ How do you set the SelectAction property of the TreeNode.
+ I guess that I may easily figure out the cause when I see your code snippets.

I load all of the nodes in the Page_Load with checking !IsPostBack

It doesn't look like I'm setting the SelectAction property, so whatever the default is.

Code snippet wise, there's really not much to show. I simply call LoadNavTree() which loads data into each of my six root nodes. I have a data access layer that returns a list of objects--one type of object for each of the six root nodes.

Do you set the value for the TreeNodes when you load data into the nodes? Also do they have different values or the same value?
|
|

They might have the same value, but a different ValuePath. That is, some top level nodes have children with the same values as other top level nodes. The path to each node, however, is always unique.

I'm running c# in the v1.1 framework and I'm trying to use an onClick event in an imagebutton (I named it "btnLogin") control on my Index.aspx page. The problem however is I keep getting the following error:
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Compilation Error: Method 'Index.btnLogin_Click(object, System.EventArgs)' does not match delegate 'void System.Web.UI.ImageClickEventHandler(object, System.Web.UI.ImageClickEventArgs)'
-------------------------------------------------------------------
I originally created this control in the 2.0 framework and had no problem with it. Now, however I needed to downgrade to version 1.1 and I've been experiencing this problem.
Here's my imagebutton control on my aspx page:
------------------------------------------------------------------
<asp:ImageButton ID="btnLogin" runat="server" ImageUrl="images/button_login.jpg" OnClick="btnLogin_Click" />
--------------------------------------------------------------------
...and here's my method in my code:
--------------------------------------------------------------------
public void btnLogin_Click(object s, System.EventArgs e)
{
}
--------------------------------------------------------------------
If it helps, here's how I created my btnLogin control in my code:
-------------------------------------------------------------------
protected System.Web.UI.WebControls.ImageButton btnLogin;
--------------------------------------------------------------------
...and last but not least, here's my aspx page header:
--------------------------------------------------------------------
<%@ Page Language="c#" AutoEventWireup="false" Inherits="Index" CodeBehind="Index.aspx.cs" %>
------------------------------------------------------------------
Any ideas as to what I'm doing wrong?
Thanks.

I have never experienced this specific error, but I have had issues with conversion from 1.1 to 2.0. I realize you are doing the opposite. There are different events for the differet controls from one framework to another. I would go back to the "auto generated code" and check to see if my actual events exist under the framework.
I hope this helps you.

Please read before answering:
Using Javascript I dynamically create file inputs in a table (<input type="file" id="fileInput">). When the user is finished (including deleting files if they change their mind) I have a submit button. The form that wraps all of the objects is set to run at server with the enctype of multipart/form-data.
My problem is when the form posts, I can't get the data. The HttpFileCollection of the HttpRequest is empty. And I know of no way to access the files. I know the files are being uploaded because the content length is correct. Traversing the HttpRequest object from break point yeilds no clues either.
How can I access uploaded files? My objective is to select any number of files to upload without doing a post back and when the user has finished selecting all files do the post back at the end.
