I am not sure about what I am telling, but you need to start WebControlLibrary project to start with control creation. You will get overrided Render() method which have HTMLTextWriter object as parameter. Using this, write HTML code for your combo box to the response. You won't be able to use classical HTML select control. Create a div element and add image tags into it. Using javascript you can make a feel of dropdownlist.

Before doing all these, do a quick search for any opensource projects. If you are developing one like this, I am sure it is time consuming.

Adding items in listbox

Hi Everyone,

I have added a statement in both C# and VB (code-behind) as follows:

Listbox1.items.add("\x2260"); //C#
Listbox1.items.add("\x2260") //VB

I found the output varies. I need the same output as in C#. Can anyone help me in this regard.

Hi kareem,

Can you place this statement in aspx.vb file and run the application
Listbox1.items.add("\\x2260")
It is not showing the correct output.

U can check this placing in aspx.cs file
Listbox1.items.add("\\x2260"); //The output should be same for above statment.

i want to make all pages in my project accessible from any other page on my project to interact with it (controles ....or any thing)
so is there a way to make any page public to see and interact with it in another page

You can't do this. Check with ASP.NET lifecycle in MSDN. When UnLoad() method calls before you see the page, all controls objects will be removed. So you won't be able to do this. Tell me real time scenario where you need to do such things ?

my real case is i want to make something like resource file
as
my application support to make the user change the application to his language and his culture dynamically
i make combo box carry all culture and language
and another combo carry all pages in my project
here is the problem when i choose the page i want to load the main page with the all controle in the selected page in combobox (labels, headers....)
which i can change them to the selected culture or language like the customer want
but i cant access the pages ;
and also i want to do this action without open the page which include the controle in the fact

note iam using xml file to be intermadte between master web application (which include the pages) and the translator pages

there is my all case
and iam working on it step by step
but my huge problem is what i say about accessing anotrher page resource like controle with out open it

plz help me or show my case to codeprjoect if any programmer can help me

Your requirement seems very tough. I implemented internationalization in my projects using resource files. In that user can change their language by changing browser default language. If you can do that, it will make your process easier.

I am not sure that I understood properly, Do you mean that, you need to show preview of the page where language will be changed, on the main page when page selects from dropdown ? If so, you can make use of WebClient class instead of opening that file. WebClient will give you rendered HTML of the page, which can be put into some literal control to show the page in your main page as preview.

No, no you cannot. As I keep saying, you seem to have no idea how ASP.NET works, you need to buy a book and read it.

And, as I've said before, user controls are the way to reuse control layouts between pages, but they will not have any state, you get the layout, but no values.

I am using Crystal Report and ajax in my webapplication. I am getting following error while accesing the site from the internet. help me pls to fix the error.

It looks like your server don't have crystal reports assemblies. You need copy that to server Global assembly folder.

I believe that paypal is the place to go if you want details on how to program the paypal API. I recall they have very good help pages.
