Hi,
I am currently building a web application whereby translation is being catered by resource files. For some reasons, it is required that each web page in the site have it own resource files. Thus, for a given page, page say "PageTest", there will be two resource files "PageTest.en-gb.resx" and "PageTest.fr-fr.resx" (provided that only two languages are defined for the time being). This process extends to all pages in the site. I store all the resource files in single folder such that i have :
Resources\Page1Test.en-gb.resx
Resources\Page1Test.fr-fr.resx
Resources\Page2Test.en-gb.resx
Resources\Page2Test.fr-fr.resx
etc....
Visual Studio nicely builds two DLL (satellite assemblies) in the bin folder of my application as follows :
bin\en-gb\Web.Resources.DLL --> This folder contains all resources files in english (ie. Resources\Page1Test.en-gb.resx , Resources\Page2Test.en-gb.resx etc..)
bin\fr-fr\Web.Resources.DLL --> This folder contains all resources files in french (ie. Resources\Page1Test.fr-fr.resx , Resources\Page2Test.fr-fr.resx)
So far so good. The problem here is that i have no idea how to reference a specific resource found in a specific resource file of the satellite assembly.
Clearly speaking,
How can i distinguish between en-gb\Web.Resources.DLL --> Page1Test."Resource_key" and en-gb\Web.Resources.DLL --> Page2Test."Resource_key" where "Resource_key" is a simple key to retrieve a string?

You don't need to. The framework will access the proper resource file for the language being used, all you need to do is reference the resource key.

Thanks. The thing is that the resource key can be available in different resource files contained in the satellite assembly. I need an access means to ensure that if i want Web.Resources.DLL -> Page1Test.en-gb->"Page title", then i will not get Web.Resources.DLL -> Page2Test.en-gb->"Page title" instead.

based on the MSDN link and a bunch of other articles, i managed to access a specific resource, in a specific resource file of a Satellite Assembly.
The syntax is as simple as this :
ResourceManager _resManager = new ResourceManager([Name of Satellite Assembly]+ "." + [Name of resource file embedded] + "." + [Culture name], Assembly.GetExecutingAssembly().GetSatelliteAssembly(_culture));

Hi All,
I am trying to access a value of textbox on my page "second.aspx" from "first.aspx". I have created a property to access textbox's value on "first.aspx" and i am transferring to "second.aspx" by using "server.transfer" method. Now the problem is that i am not able to create an object of "first.aspx" on "second.aspx". and hence i am not able to use context handler. Please note that i have to use context handler only as that is the requirement. Please help me.

Hi Piyush,
You might be trying to close the parent window which mozilla not allows to do. However if you open a pop up window and then call window.close() for closing it, it'll work fine. Even in internet explorer, if you try to close the parent window, it asks for a confirmation message from you.

In mozilla, you can close only that window through window.close() that you have opened through window.close(). This is mozilla's feature.

We can close only that window by "window.close()" that is opened by using "window.open()". That's the bottomline.

Can you help me to access the table in a form?
I am need a sample program in asp.net with VB coding for the following
action taken.
My table contain following fields that is
Name, StudentID, Mark1, Mark2 as string
the table contain 20 records
data entry for mark1 only
display the ID at the top of the form
next get a mark1 with textbox
click the submit button
go to the next ID display the top of the page
the textbox is empty
this action going to end of the table
(move the record upto 20th record)
If end of the table the following message is displayed.
Message = "No more records."
Please above action how to made. This is very urgent.
Could you please send actual coding to me at earliest.

A few points.
1. Just because it's very urgent for you doesn't mean that it even makes the top 10,000 urgent items I have on my plate right now. So don't bother marking it as urgent. Is it any more urgent than the issues that the other posters have?
2. We don't do homework for you.

For Yesterday's Date:
