How to add Google directions API with asp.net mvc

I know nothing about this subject. And I need to implement for a school project this web service. I have an existing model called "route" a web service that stores the route for a car to go to. How can I do that? I've searched in the google documentation but I didn't understand what to do.
Please help me, Thanks
