Hi All,
I have an application written in MFC/C++, in this i am displaying v² (v-square) on a form. But when i run the application on Japanese Windows XP.., the square(alt+0178) is getting converted to a native Japanese character. But running the same application of German Windows XP or English OS.., its remaing same without any conversion.

So, how do i force the Japanese windows xp not to convert the square(power of 2) to its native character ?

Any help on this will be much appreciated..,

As with any question like this my standard question is:
Is the application build using Unicode?

Not using wide characters is the root of all evil when it comes to translation woes.
