And trying to learn from a sample is not a good idea - you don't get the context of the project, or any idea why things are done the way they are - and a small sample project may well not scale well to a larger "real" project.

So get a book, or go on a course and learn the subject properly: trying to learn by example doesn't work in the real world, so why would you assume it did in computing? Would you fly with a pilot who was sat there watching an "Airplane!" movie as his only example of training?
