How to send back response to a page in ASP.Net

I had a Page (Page A) with a button, when this button is clicked another page (Page B) opens in a a new window. There are two buttons on Page B. what ever button is clicked this form will close But I want to refresh (Page A) depending on which button was clicked on (Page B). Both are asp.Net pages. How can I tell (Page A) that which button was clicked on (Page B).

Solution 1

In the JavaScript for closing the Page B you set window.returnValue and then the calling JavaScript in Form A checks the return value.
