how does System.DirectoryServices Works

I am curious To know how this system.directory service works. I am not passing any login credentials for AD server. I ma just passing the Domain name. how is this dll accessing my AD and getting my credentials such as name email etc.

Please let me know how this works. If it does not need a credential to work, how safe it is to use in the application. thanks.

The application you are running is executing under your account so you can get access to your account details and to any Active Directory object you are granted access to.
