Is there any tool I can use to format SQL Server code? I’d like to find a quick and dirty solution where I can just open script, click format and then save it.

What do you mean by format?

Are you referring to "sql server code" as "t-sql"? What tools have you available? most of client tools have options for this.

There are loads of tools ...

Try this opensource option http://sourceforge.net/projects/fsqlf/[^]

and Pinal Dave has a blog on the very subject http://blog.sqlauthority.com/2007/05/20/sql-server-sql-code-formatter-tools/[^]

Google will present you with several (free) on-line tools too.

You might want to try ApexSQL Refactor[^] As far as I know it works with all SQL server versions and its free.
