Hi friends,

I need a solution for blocking and unblocking executable files using usb device. i.e.,
User will select an exe from program files in his/her system, then it has to be blocked by the connected usb.
and The exe shlouldnt open (run) without the usb.

Thanks,
Sateesh

I don't think what you're after is possible.

At least not for 3rd party EXE files.

Although if you're responsible for the EXE you want to block, so as such you're looking to use a dongle for licensing. Then this is possible.

Although you'll need a USB device which you can program with licensing information.

There's no obvious way I can think of, but you could do this: create a program that runs from the USB to encrypt/decrypt the .exe file, with a randomly generated key stored on the USB drive. This would require you to at least have access to the USB drive to run the executable again.
