css word break of a long word

I am using css for word break of a long word as follows but the css does not work. How can I use a css for breaking word for a long word. My css code is as follows
word-wrap:break-word; but this does not work.

Solution 1

word-break only supports certain browsers. It is not supported by Firefox and Opera.
