saving the file name of an file upload control on page post back

hi ,

i am using an file upload control and on hitting the upload button after choosing the file the file name disappears and "no file choosen tag" remains there how can i retain it? please advice

to maintain name of file u need to use HiddenField. this can help u

i am using session where i am getting the value but some who i am not able to assign it to the page control

Dont use Session its heavy use HiddenField it is a control u can easily handle it on page
