I have read this book (VB 2008 version)
Pro VB 2010 and the .NET 4.0 Platform[^]
and it's good.
This book
Start-to-Finish Visual Basic 2005: Learn Visual Basic 2005 as You Design and Develop a Complete Application[^]
is for VB 2005, but I found it useful to learn how to develop an application from start to finish.
