what people do if they can't remember their passwords

For my project report I needed information about what and which mistakes people or employees in any organization make if they want to remember (like writing it somewhere and so..) their accounts passwords..

If any one have such articles or surveys about it please provide it. I am searching it but if you could provide it would be additional help..

People can't make mistakes if they forgot their passwords.
They simply won't be able to access anything.
