tell everyone in the company that uses this system to log out!

This can happen if you are linked to a database on a network server from you local machine. Make sure everyone is out of the database and make sure there is no lock database file visible; if there is, then delete it.

You should NEVER link to the Access database file via a shortcut.


Are you the developer or admin for this database? If so, make sure you only have the tables in the back-end (on the network) and the forms and queries on the local client machines (the front end). This is called "splitting" your database.
