Accessing documents from one server to another server

Dear All,
My Web Server is in DM zone, I want to access and download documents from my Archival server which is in another secured network. What is the best way to achieve this?

Archival server is windows server 2003 which contains pdf documents. I want to access this docs from my web application which is in web server (windows server 2008).

There are several ways to accomplish that. You must consider the IT environment. Transferring files from one machine to another can be done by FTP, you may want to setup a VPN connection, or serve the files using a webservice, you even may want to create a share which is accessible to other machines. It's impossible to provide you a custom taylor made solution without a good description of your IT environment.
