Gridview Sorting without postpack

Am using a grid view to display data.
Am applying some java script to re-size the table at client side(using mouse drag).
If i use Enable sorting
when i re size the table and click on columns for sorting the page is reloading and the table is resizing to the original size (content size).

i need some script which doesn't post back on sort click
