Updation through software to Web

Hello Friends,
Can someone tell me that how can we update a database which is linked to the website located on the remote server, through the software...

suppose we have any exe or software on which we have a button, named "updated web table". if we click on this table than software updates the website table...

how can we do this... can someone gives me little idea about it. i am using C# in the software development.

Solution 1

Search a bit on ADO.Net. You'll find this to be quite easy, once you figure out how to establish a connection to the remote database server. That's always the hard part; once you've established a connection, standard SQL statements work nicely.
