Database connectivity concern

Hi to all,

Can I ask on how to connect a PHP script using MSSQL? We know that most likely PHP is compatible to MySQL however this is a different database query.

Could you please provide me any form of script for this concern.
Also, is there any information that I need to know before this connectivity will most likely take place.
