hot key not working in vc++(alt+R)

Hi,
I have a button for which I have assigned hot key by giving '&' symbol in rc file. but when I press ALT+R it's not working.

Well, if the button is in dialog box, there is no need to put in accelerator table. Alt+(Key) is standard technique, and would work anyways.

Solution 1

1. Is the button in a dialog? There are issues with dialog bar buttons.
2. Do you have an 'r' following the ampersand?
3. Do you have an entry for Alt+r in an accelerator table which will be in conflict?
4. Is the 'r' underlined when you press Alt?
Edit:
5. Check for duplicates using Check Mnemonics command from the Format menu.

1. yes button is in dialog.

3. i don have any entry for alr+r in acc table. how can i add it???

hey thank u.... i got solution... just by adding alt+r entry into acc table i was able to solve my prob...
