How to decrease memory consumed by an application

Hi,

I have developed a project and it is taking lot of memory. I just want to know how we can reduce the application memory.
*My Application is in VB.Net

I doubt that anyone can answer your question without knowing at least what it is that your project does, what controls it mostly uses etc.
