I need to put restrictions on excel columns for datatypes. If I format cell and choose the datatype as numeric, it still allows me to enter text. Please suggest some solution.

I did a simple search in Google and the first hit is this: See here[^]

For future reference, you could have done this yourself. ;)

From the OP: Thnks for this suggestion, I tried it already. But what i want is the restriction for numeric, date time & text field. Which i am not able to get.
I am able to enter numbers in the text field & alphabets in the numeric field which i don't want.
Any idea please let me know.

I am new to C# and i don't know anything about Excel. Can you explain what you are telling.

@nattynids: VBA is Visual Basic for Applications. It is the programming environment for most Office programs such as Excel. It has nothing to do with C#. Google VBA and Excel and you will see thousands of examples for you to learn from. Good luck!
