images not working in reports.

I am using external as resource and added parameter for path but it's not working.

It's showing cross mark as image.
I am generating report in pdf. I have given path as http://[servername]/[imagefolder]/imagename.

Do I need to change any configuraton settings?

I'm not sure if it works with urls. In our rdlc reports, the external images' paths are set to the physical paths on the server
