Sidebar drop down hide behind the content in mobile while it's ok in web?

This question cannot be answered, as a yes or no. The question itself is a bit of complex and personal opinion based one, because the entire UX of the app depends upon the UX team, and the way the users interact with your application.

We cannot typically help here, it might be a good UX, or it may even break the UX concepts of your team. What I would recommend here is that you should use A/B testing and test out what your users think... One group should get one look and one should be provided with another theme (content hidden, or shown). Then, check how users are enjoying, and how your team prefers to build it as well.
