I dont have much javascript knowledge so i am working with css

What I have tried:

This is an incorrect question.
You cannot consider the two as alternatives. I would understand if you asked if you could implement such slider with CSS along, or JavaScript is also necessary. Then the answer would depends on required functionality.

The answer is - Fully depend on you.

As per me, I can say Javascript/jQuery is the best way to implement image slider as you have to work/code less (as many things already defined). You only have to call the method for achieving what you want.

In case of CSS, you have to write the code on your own and that too you must have to write Javascript/jQuery code to slide the images Back/Next.

So, choice is yours.
