How to Fix Error "This Server Version is not Supported. Only Servers up to Microsoft SQL Server 2005 are Supported"

I'm using Visual Studio 2008 Service Pack 1 and SQL Server 2014. When I'm trying to connect to SQL Server 2014 from Visual Studio 2008, I'm getting the following error;
"This Server Version is not Supported. Only Servers up to Microsoft SQL Server 2005 are Supported"
I have tried many options but unable to fix the error. If any one have any solution please help me.
