I am beginner I don't know how to solve this problem so please help me.
I am facing problem in validation, when I used details view for insertion validation is work properly but on the same data source I used grid view for edit and delete that data but when I am going to edit that previous data it show that validation error : you must enter some data in details view. ...

Are you using the grid for a inline edit?

If that is true the line being edited inside a form? Or is the whole grid inside the form? Or is only the detail view inside the form? When you start editing a line do you post back the entire page or use Ajax to change just the selected line.

For each case above you must act differently.
Please give more details about how your pages/forms are wired.
