If something has a solution... Why do we have to worry about?. If it has no solution... For what reason do we have to worry about?
Help me to understand what I'm saying, and I'll explain it better to you
Rating helpful answers is nice, but saying thanks can be even nicer.

essentialSQL is sort of flooding the zone over the past week. I mean, I don't like to complain about other people's contributions, but when you publish like 15 articles all at once it's a little excessive.
It seems like they could be combining many of these articles into one big tutorial.
Now I feel like a bit of a jerk for complaining, but I guess it's better than it eating me.

They should be done now. Their blog feed was broken and last week we fixed it. Sometimes this happens with all blog feeds and we fix it, and suddenly 100 blogs that weren't being polled are suddenly here.
Less than a quarter of the entries that were pulled in went live. If you find any entries leftover that you deem too narrow a focus, please feel free to report the article as unclear or incomplete, or extremely poor quality.
Thanks,

Thanks for the head's up! That makes me feel better about this stuff, that it's not going to be ongoing.

For example these
appear twice in the "Just Published" section. Not sure if it's related but when in moderation the link for approval pointed to a version stating "This is an old version of the currently published technical blog."

Private emails can be enabled / disabled in settings for Protectors:

And my cat, which will protect nothing except his supper:

But ... it's a privilege that is only available to Protectors:

So either all / more members should be able to do it, or there shouldn't be an option!

This used to be available to everybody. Can't see a reason why it should not be the case, private messaging is a common feature nowadays.

'Private email' has been restricted when spammer began to misuse that option.

And to remain compatible with the past (which some members seem to prefer) it should be Opt Out?

It's there because it's available (for us) to tweak based on business rules. At the moment it's locked down to all except protectors. We could simply hide it with and if/then but then I'm fairly sure we'd get a question from a protector saying "why can I see it but other's can't"

so yes, yesterday i was writing an article (android-related but its not important i hope). today after turning on my lap i thought to come back to this article. i could. title descriptions and tags were saved. all content of article was not, i just opened page with default content ('introduction, background, using the code'... like that).
i have a question - is it recoverable? looks like it was updating on server in background... (saved few hours ago where i was away of lap).
also - here screenshot :
OS - popOS 21.20 (newest, installed at sunday, updated)

That's it, if you resize the message box to it's right to have more writing area available, it gets overlapped by the items at right.
This said, as I said many times, thanks for this wonderful site.

First: Thank you!
Second, I assume you are resizing using the browser-supplied resizer? I should probably add the "resize: none" CSS rule to it.

Hi Chris!
Yes, I am using the browser resizer... that rule would simply avoid it to happen.
Maybe floating the items right would allow us to resize the item.
In any case, thanks again!

Please don't!
Or at least make it resize:vertical; so that we can make the box taller when necessary.

There's a gripper at the bottom which allows you to resize. That's independent of the built-in browser stuff
(but resize:vertical would be way neater and we should ditch that old code)
