I've followed the steps you have described and had no problem clicking through to the messages, both from your profile and your message.
Please try again. You may have just had the misfortune of doing this during a deploy. I think Chris did one on Friday.

The notification service has been irregular for quite a while. For example, I just received a message notification that was sent 23 hours ago and it was not the first message by OPs, but I did not receive any when I visited this site 8 hours ago. Not sure how many gone unnoticed and delayed. Hope someone look into it.

Currently, if a post gets 3 flags, it is not really deleted, but locked with the message why it is closed. But this is the same if the question is closed as spam, but if it is spam, it should be deleted, because there could be a link in the Spam and Abuse Watch forum to the spam posts, and search engines can crawl that forum, so they can also crawl the closed question and the site, to which the spammer links.
Can posts flagged as spam please be deleted, instead of locked?

I finally realized that some post votes (I observe it on Q&A answers and questions) are not properly shown on the page of the post anymore. My own votes are sometimes reflected on the post, sometimes not; I did not catch the pattern. But now I can see it on my own posts which got some votes from other members: the score is shown on the "Latest Reputation Events", but not on the page of the post on the element with the stars.
Here is how I observed it: I noticed two latest votes on my answers on the "Latest Reputation Events" list (at the moment of writing this report):
How to implement a c# code if 2 interfaces has same methods[^],
How to list sub directories in listbox using c#[^].
The score was incremented due two votes one these answers, but, at this moment, the stars are not shown on the pages of these answers; "Rating = 0.00" is shown in both cases. Many other posts do have those stars.

Hi,
Recently I came back to 'CodeProject' after a long time and was downloading an article in .pdf format and I was landed to .../LogOn.aspx page.
Then the page name reads as Sign in.
Just below that a paragraph reads as
You must logon to download zip files.
and then
To ensure that our limited resources are not abused we must ask that all readers wishing to download zip files log in first.
Now what I did, entered nothing and clicked SignIn button, here is error message
Please supply a logon email address.
Then I entered a valid email address and wrong password, again clicked on Sign In button, here is the message
Quote: Unable to logon: The login email and password do not match. Please recheck both the email address and password you are using to log in.
what I want to say is, unless context varies significantly, why do we need to use three different expressions Sign in, Log in and Log on. can't we stick to Login?

I'm not getting emails and news letters.
I did recently change my email/signon address.
Could that be the problem?

Looks like you landed on the mobile version of the page. You can change to the normal view by clicking on the link at the bottom of the page ("Full Site").
I guess the useragent of your nexus 10 counts as a mobile and therefore wanted to redirect you to the mobile site for your "conveniance"

Hi Nicholas,
Thx, you're right. After clicking full site the page was readable.

It seems and old bug came to visit... Entries in moderation queue links to approved articles...
But the tips from this author are need special attention. I saw two of them yesterday and voted poor quality, but today both are passed...

Can I see deleted articles which was deleted by myself?

Yes, you can see a deleted article of yourself. It doesn't matter whether it has been deleted by yourself or by someone else, you'll still be able to see and edit it.
But as a Platinum Organiser, you are able to see everyone's deleted articles. Note that they are not in the list of someone's articles, but if you have the URL, you can see it.

If you do not have the URL, then you should contact an admin if you lost an article.

For some time, there are some issues with voting and sorting answers in Quick Answers:
- When voting, the vote is cast, but the stars are not immediately updated. I think this has already been reported some time ago.
- Accepted answers are not longer shown on top. They are just sorted like if they are normal answers.
[Edit] Answers with one star are shown on top now, but they should be shown on bottom.

In the list of questions in Quick Answers, the links to the questions have an ?arn=N query string, where N is the position of the question in the list.
What's goal of this? If it doesn't have a goal, can it please be removed? It is rather annoying for me because if the position of a question that I have visited changes, my browser doesn't longer count it as "visited" and doesn't longer highlight it in purple (visited-link color), but in blue.

Now you solved me the mystery of why Chrome clear visited info every few minutes...
I searched for a Chrome problem all the time and didn't noticed the change in the url!
