You mean the tweet count was reset?
Tweet count is based on the one thing that Twitter will see: your URL. Change the title and you change the URL. However, when editing an article you can be sneaky: below the WYSIWYG editor is a line showing the final URL of the article. Click the slug (the end bit of the URL) and set that to whatever you want, eg. the old slug 'ExpandableIocContainer" and twitter will hook it up again.

Can we get a sticky for the VB forum explaining that VB6 is a dead language and that there is a free net express product that should be used.
There has been a rash of VB6 questions indicating new project in the forum recently. A sticky may reduce the urge to call the poster a complete idiot and to upgrade to .Net.

I am not disagreeing with your stance, but I believe that the forum title "Visual Basic" invites VB6 type questions as it has been the traditional way to refer to that language.
What I do disagree with is: the urge to call the poster a complete idiot and to upgrade to .Net. On another site, I helped a guy with a VB6 project and I asked him if he could explain why I observed so many VB6 questions from his stated country (India) and he informed me that it was what being taught at his university (this about one year ago). Needless to say, I was somewhat taken back by that statement, but it explained the many rudimentary programing questions being posed in VB6. My reason for stating this, is so that those with the urge to ridicule may think a bit before doing so. Perhaps, some of CP's members from India could offer further insight on this issue.
Additionally, this site claims:Quote: CodeProject is a community of Software development and Design developers joined together with certain common goals: to learn, to teach and to have fun programming. Developers from all over the world come together to share source code, tutorials and knowledge for free to help their fellow programmers.
I see nothing in that statement that says a programming language must be actively supported by its creator for it to be a valid topic for discussion.

I realise there are many existing apps out there but I am truly shocked to hear a university was still using VB6 as a teaching aid. I would consider that almost a crime, I can't imagine any teaching organisation disadvantaging their students to that degree.
I don't think CP should not helps where they can, an awful lot of us worked through VB6, but to see someone starting a project using VB6 is distressing, these are the people I consider need to be enlightened.

Regardless of whether you, I, or the rest of Those Who Know Better reckon VB6 should quietly leave the room, and quickly, there's a ton of code still being written in VB6.

The problem is: There is too much code written in VB6. Nobody has the time and money needed to upgrade all those old apps to .NET (or any other language). So if a bug is found or a small change needed the legacy goes on...
I too have to maintain some legacy VB6 apps and I'm really grateful for any site which is still offering some information about that language.

I don't have a problem with maintaining VB6, that is part of what we do, even adding minor changes, what really bugs me is where new projects are being started in VB6 , I think that should be discouraged strongly.

You miss the point, when you see questions asking how to create/start/extend a VB6 project there is a great temptation (for me anyway) to call the OP a pillock. If there was a sticky about what the responder should most certainly point out it may lower the level of angst.

imho, your editing an accepted solution puts you in the position of "second guessing" two people, the OP, and the person who wrote the solution.
I suggest that if you think there's an error in the code, you write a comment on the solution; if you think the whole approach is wrong, write your own solution.

Although having edited the text of my article[^], the article content does not update when I re-visit the page.
ie. If I re-edit the page, all the new content is displayed in the editor, but 'Publish' does not update the article. So the page displays 6.8.1 but the editor displays 6.8.2.
Very confused!

I ran a few tests and your edits will show up "eventually," but I wouldn't take that to the bank. I recommend waiting until we get it all resolved.

RS4....bloody hell, that was a looong time ago she disappeared! It got binned in 2012, I then moved up to a C63 AMG, and then got rid of that in 2015 when I moved to Qatar, where I simply ran around in a company supplied Mitsi Pajero for the 3 years I lived there. Left Qatar (residentially only, still working there) and relocated to Cyprus in 2017. Now running around in a Mitsi Outlander 7 seat 2.2 turbo diesel no less! 
Don't see the need for anything low to the ground here, roads can be a bit hit and miss, speed bumps everywhere in the towns, and locals drive like they bought their licenses so anything decent would just get trashed.
Recently moved my eldest daughters school, and the school run is now 60km one way, so tempted to go electric now, but no Tesla dealer on the island, and stories of other Tesla owners having to send their cars to mainland europe for repairs in a bit off putting. Haven't looked at anything!
I did buy a 500cc Quad Bike for running around the mountains and national parks and forests here. There are so many tracks everywhere and it is pretty much a free for all once you head away from the main towns and cities. It's great fun and having the constant sunshine is great.
Also got lots of clear skies at nights, so started astrophotography as well now, so that's keeping me occupied. I thought about doing some articles on Ascom programming, its an open platform for astronomy equipment, but haven't looked into the developer docs yet...maybe one day. I think I have said that about a few other topics, but just don't know where the time goes.
The ultrabook I got from you in 2012 for the Intel App competition, is currently being used as my outside laptop for the astro software. still working well, except the left trackpad button is spaffed, its got a wee bit of life yet, but without usb3 its a bit slow for large imaging/data transfers.
That's about it for now!

I'm sad to hear you've ditched the RS4 and the AMG for a Mitsubishi. That does indeed bring a tear to my eye.
But the ultrabook is still going? Crazy. Mine gave up the ghost a few years back. It was fun while it lasted.
Astrophotography was a big hobby of mine when I was back in Canberra. Clear skies, perfect conditions, but crappy gear as a student. It's amazing what can be done in software these days so if you've up for an article that would be amazing.

I noticed[^] we only have the option of "Spam" or "Abuse". A button to send a thread to the soapbox would be sweet. If that's too much power, how about a "mark as soapbox" button and simply keep count?
There's also the reputation to consider; the thread is simply in the wrong place on the wrong time, it's kinda overkill to mark it as abuse. Can we have a way to report threads without the rep-damage involved? Would make it somewhat easier to rectify these mistakes

When I want to insert an image (or other file) into my article using the CP article editor I often get errors when uploading the file.
I click on the button 'Browse File' and pick the image I want to add (about 15 kB on average).
I then click the 'Upload Files' button.
The first time I never have problems. The second time sometimes. Maybe if I wait too long before uploading another image.
Anyway I get the error that something went wrong (no specific messages).
This results in the 'Upload Files' button being hidden. I also can't browse to the same file because I get the message that it is already added.
I need to exit the editor, browse to my draft article and open the editor again before I can upload a new image.
I am still working in Chrome.
It's an OO world.
