There are more folks answering in the Q/A forums, so yeah I'd do that if I were you.

So you're telling OP to repost :P

NO
One or the other, but not both. This point is made several times in the various posting guidelines. As Chris says, the fora and Q+A are intended for different styles - discussion vs quick answer.

Weird. Just look how often "crosspost" appears in Q+A answers (or questions retitled by editors).

Uhm, I had a look at your questions in Q&A, and guess what? There aren't any. You probably mean your messages in the different programming fora of CP?

So some coward downvoted my link. How lame is that?

And someone else voted you 5's. Idiot votes tend not to last very long.
Did you ever see history portrayed as an old man with a wise brow and pulseless heart, waging all things in the balance of reason?
Is not rather the genius of history like an eternal, imploring maiden, full of fire, with a burning heart and flaming soul, humanly warm and humanly beautiful?

Okay: so the menu header says "Questions & Answers", the menu that is under that says "All Message Boards", the title of that page refers to "Discussion Boards" and asks you to select a "Forum".
So please pardon me for selecting the wrong word/phrase out of so many to choose from.

No problem, but you see why I got confused by your post.

Thanks, I figured out where the views box is and it is nowhere near where I posted my question.

Well it's not the OP's fault. If there's anyone responsible for the confusion it's Chris M for designing that menu that way. Kinda like putting the Exit menu-entry under the Edit menu in a Windows app.

Or like putting the Exit menu-entry under the File menu in a Windows app. Oh, wait...

I am sure Ray Chen will have an explanation for that!

I remember reading a blog post about it. Was the the one who wrote that? In any event, there should be an "Application" menu!

... oe putting Shutdown on the Start menu.
On consideration, I am not putting the joke icon on this. (But if there was a "cheap shot" one I'd consider it.)

Can we please get a "Not an alternate" item in the Report menu.

We have the "wrong type" option. We're in the middle of reworking the article system to make it far easier to switch between types.

That's not really applicable. When someone posts a comment (that is NOT an alternate tip) to a tip/trick, they more-often-than-not incorrectly use the "Post Alternate" button. The problem is that we have no way of reporting something like that. "Wrong Type" implies that it shouldn't be something other than a tip (a blog, or an article).

(By "little furries", I mean the the hamsters, of course)
