We use the jQuery UI package to create the tabs so I'll dig in and see if there's some way of having this work as you would expect.
All that really needs to happen is that, on clicking a tab, a #TabName gets appended to the address - which is simple - but since this isn't happening I suspect it's done on purpose to work around an odd browser issue.
Or may there is a "MakeBackButtonWorkProperly" property I have set to false or something.

Of course there is, the CP home page does it for the Article/TipTrick/Discussion/... tabs. It all depends on the page's code.

Check now, I don't think thats the case.
Though, I just remember one more thing that could be happening: He might have made it editable only by editors earlier, thus it did not have an approve button for me(or probably you too).

Sometimes one answers their own question, so it would be nice to be able to "Answer" your own question.

Why? You could easily modify the question to include the answer.

The popular way to do this is to edit the question to add the solution, and then tag the subject with [Solved].
|
|
|

I fail to see to logic in that; there is one location for a question and another for one or more answers, no matter who the author is. Answering one's own question does not need to be handled differently. Flagging a question as answered is OK, it too should not depend on whom provided the satisfactory answer.
BTW: Removing a question once it is solved is also popular on several sites, IMO it is equally stupid as it removes information that may be useful to others.

Agreed: I don't think it should be possible to remove any question with an answer, even if you wrote the original question. Happened to me three times yesterday: the OP deleted the question when he had his answer.

I noticed that the "Add an answer" box is labeled differently if you go back and look at your questions. It reads "Add your solution here. That's MUCH better, but see my new mesage in this forum.

I was about to agree with you because that's the way I've been doing it, but then I decided to go back to one of my questions, add an answer, and then see if I could "accept" the answer. Imaging my surprise when I found a place to "Add your solution here:" (where the Add an answer" box usually is).
I'm not surprised that you haven't seen that because I don't think you've asked any questions in the Q/A section.

So what does it do? Posts an answer, but marked clearly as coming from the OP? Or is it just a wording change that posts a regular answer?
