I've been noticing this problem the past few days and it is now tending to become a little annoying.
I open / load any forum page and then try to open a post before the page has loaded.
The post opens, but the page starts to reload again. 
I dont know if this is happening with other people or with other browsers.
I'm using IE8.

It seems to happen on FF 3.6.3 too (and probably on other versions as well).

This isn't tied to IE. This happens on all browsers and has been there around for a couple of months or so. Chris said that he'll fix it...

Just checked - it does not appear to be happening any more.

It is still happening whenever I'm loading a page and simultaneously open a big post.
The entire page refreshes when I do this.

Has anyone else noticed that if you have a block of text surrounded by a CODE tag, the text following the closing tag doesn't format properly? This is especially noticeable if the closing tag is at the end of a line and you press ENTER a couple of times to start a new paragraph. This also happens with PRE tags. It seems to be worse in the Q/A section of the site.
Observation - the whole site seems somewhat dodgy lately.

This is because I do not replace newline characters with BR tags if the newline is preceeded by a >. I do this so things like
<ul>
<li>item 1</li>
<li>item 2</li>
<li>item 3</li>
</ul>
Will turn out like
instead of
I need to update the code so it only ignore newlines on specific closing tags.

I'm using 3.6.3 and I cannot replicate the issue. For me, nothing is set to focus initially.
Do you have any add-ins installed that might be messing with it?

I don't know how long you keep these statistics for but I'd quite like to see back in time a little further than the 5 weeks you currently show, especially for my first article that I submitted back in 2006 (yeah I know I'm probably asking too much there).
Anyway, it could be interesting, maybe even useful to see which articles are now past their 'use-by-date', which ones could do with a little refreshing, and which ones are just true classics that never go out of style.
I just love Koalas - they go great with Bacon.

BR tag is not working in signature. If I put "br" tag in my signature, it'e does not make any changes.

Hi there
Im using IE6
In the main menu, the options should be clickable in the whole row and not only the text
This works fine in firefox, but with IE6 only the text is clickable
For example: Messege Borads > ASP.NET

Therein lies the problem.
IE6 lays things out inconsistently and I have not yet worked out how to make the whole row clickable without the use of Javascript. We - along with many other companies - are dropping support for IE6 so I removed these IE6 specific workarounds to minimise the code we had to maintain.
Unfortunately all I can suggest is to ditch IE6 if at all possible. It's a terrible browser.

I couldn't help but notice that the VS 2010 sticky in the lounge is filled with referral links. I have no problem with that at all - we all need to eat - except for transparency.
I would much rather a statement was included that made it clear CP stands to benefit from those links - and again, I've no problem with CP benefiting from commercial transactions - rather than that slight of hand.
And anyway, a far more effective technique of gaining advertising would be for you guys to post, article up and otherwise disseminate your experiences of VS 2010. I think the CP populace would find commentary on how VS 2010 helped or hindered a big website, such as CP, more than interesting.
