Because I expect a human editor to reformat articles, I don't vote based on format, grammar, and spelling.
But editing won't fix problems with content, or the lack thereof, and I don't want to have to remember which artcles I want to vote on after posting.
Yes, I report many as substandard, but there are also many that aren't quite that bad.
Each user has his own standards.
I wouldn't mind a message asking me to review my vote.
On the other hand, if gold+ members' articles don't go through the approval process, they won't benefit from this.
I, personally, would like a kind of peer-review process, involving only gold+ members.

Isn't it bizzare how people dump articles through the wizard and don't check the results? This morning I was looking at an article that is perhaps interesting; I just couldn't get past all of the formating errors and guideline violations. Shame.

It would be good if CP can show who is voting on the message same like how MSDN forums shows.

I've been getting these server-busy errors in the message forums for days now. Certain forums are slow. Some are completely unusable/unreachable. But I don't hear anyone else complaining so is there something I can do on my end to be one of the 9,500 people online right now? Thank you.

A while back - like last year - I suggested a new icon for message types: a suggestion icon, that could be used both on this forum and on article forums. What do you think?

I only email Chris when it's really serious (like when one of my articles gets mangled ). I don't consider this to be critical, and besides it sounds like he's busy today.

I think it's a great idea. The trick is that some forums should only have some icons (eg Bugs and Suggestions should have a 'bug' and a 'suggestion' icon, whereas the lounge should have the current set. I reckon the Soapbox could have it's own, special, set  )
This just adds an extra layer of code that I haven't had a chance to get to yet. But yes, a great idea.
