I just want to find out why a reply message I posted was closed - who can I ask?

You're going to have be more specific before CP can answer your question.

Look at how much activity the OP has so far. I doubt CP needs much more information.

I saw that on two elements this afternoon:
"This is an old version of the currently published article."
If this is actually an old version, why should we have to moderate it?
I don't remember having spotted that before.

Is this a new changes? Usually we get 10 points for posting a solution to the question.

I think there's a blockage in the plumbing. Someone probably posted too big of a solution...

It certainly could have been database issues. For the past couple of weeks we've had some database spikes that have been a major headache. We've been working hard to reduce these as well as ensure we have retry code in place.

In the Lounge, I wanted to click on the "Next" link, I mistakenly reported a post from Richard Andrew x64. Is it possible to undo?
Sorry

I can't see a report lodged by you against a message by him so I think it's either been cleared or Sean may have stepped in.

All article pages have a script that seems to be related to YouTube that causes a lot of idle activity. Firefox runtime analysis says there's stylesheet recomputations every few milliseconds. I see a CPU activity of ~45% of a logical core. Only when the tab and the browser are in the foreground.

I just checked a couple of articles, none of them holding anything related to youtube.
That must come from your browser/plugins; CP cannot be held repsonsible for these.

I reported a repost in QA, adding message as a 'Solution' telling the OP why. This morning I received the following message:
Quote: Your answer 'My project on office 365,' has been reported by Chris Maunder and has been closed, with the reason being given as This exact post has already been posted by another member.
If you wish to revise and reopen your article based on the feedback from these members then simply visit My project on office 365, and click the "Update my article" link. This will enable you to edit and update your article and will re-open your article for other members to enjoy.
Is that correct?

This elegantly illustrates the conflict between what is a solution, call me old school on this, and what is a comment.

The reason for adding the comments as a "Solution" is to remove the question from the "All Unanswered" list. The original message most likely has already been answered.

That was my fault. I accidentally reported your answer instead of another's and when I saw my mistake I went back to undo it but couldn't find your answer. I meant to email you but was hit with 10 distractions from all sides and totally forgot. Sorry mate.

People more and more use the online Fiddle to prove or show code.
Perhaps a collaboration with those guys would be nice to allow some sort of "fiddle" integration in the forums.
basic idea
eg. If you press the "Fiddle" button you're presented with the fiddle of the correct forum (javascript, C#, ...) a button on the Fiddle forum allows the code to be copied in the answers with the correct formatting and pre tags. You could also select the code from the question itself and send it to fiddle.
just a thought.
