Hi,
I am using Mozilla FireFox 1.5.0.6. The Menus, i think have some problem when displaying. I can see a 'H' before the 'Help!' menu leading me to http://www.codeproject.com/info/faq.asp page. Is this a browser fault or something else ?
Actually i tried to refresh the same page, but the 'H' link keeps on coming.
I dont know whether it is problem of browser or design of site ?

It's by design
Nah, it appears to be a bug with FF, I think they are working to rectify it but I'm not 100% sure.
Formula 1 - Short for "F1 Racing" - named after the standard "help" key in Windows, it's a sport where participants desperately search through software help files trying to find actual documentation. It's tedious and somewhat cruel, most matches ending in a draw as no participant is able to find anything helpful. - Shog9

Close, but not quite. The menu is still shifted to the right several pixels resulting in a horizontal scrollbar being generated. The original position of the menu (before it gets shifted, resulting in the extra 'H') is where the menu should be placed in order to eliminate the scrollbar.

Yes, but there's no superfluous H now.
Aligning the menu correctly will cost extra

How much extra? I think I could afford an extra 25% or so. Will that cover it?

Why is that? if theres no particular reason, then I think adding this feature can make only good =]
You can change the message type too.

Did something change overnight? When viewing the forums I am having to scroll to the right. IE6 on a 1024x768 display.

No.
Which forums? Can you send me a screenshot if you see it again?

Grrr, took me 30 minutes to find a working proxy. Damn China and their great Firewall!!
sent an email with the screenshot, and the problem is on all the forums, but not on the articles or other pages.

It would be nice if you could split the forums down the middle with the main topic threads on the left and be able to click on them and display them on the right. Horizontal split can also be done.

Hi,
As you can see, i have set the color and boldness properties for my display name using HTML tags in my settings, That ofcourse everyone would be familier with. But when i am recieving mails from CP ( newsletters , offers or mails not from forum ) the same tags are also inserted in the recipient list. Is it a bug or anything else ?
Any one else having the same problem?

What is the use of the html tags if the Mail client cant display the name in the intended colors and all ?

Well for one good reason is that I won't like jazzy coloured mail from codeproject and certainly not redcolored text.
so it is by design and its a good one.

I'm sure there used to be a board here for anything website related, maybe I have gone blind. Anyway, sorry if this is the wrong place but I would like to report a bug. The 'Set Options' button on the forums doesn't seem to be working. Clicking it simply reloads the page.

Oh and while the website is being revamped, is it possible to have some quick links to say the last 10 pages on the forums? Sometimes I want to go back 6 or 7 pages but the only way to do so is to keep clicking the 'prev' link.
Cheers )

Hello
You should change the options around the button first to get effect. Options like the message threshold, the view, whether message, topic, thread, etc...-, Per page and the messages since options. They are all in comboboxes. Change the value, then press the set changes button to apply them.
Try to change the number of messages per page, and apply it.

Aah, I see. I thought that button would give me more advanced options, the name is a bit misleading. Maybe it should be 'Apply Options'. But as for my second point about those extra links, it still stands :p
