It's based on some old geolocation data which we are aware needs updating. We're working on it!

I am not getting anything in that page. Do I need to have any plugins for that?

It uses Google map but I am not sure whether you need any plugin. FF3 and IE7 show it nicely.

Ohh... I was checking this in IE as I don't have FF available here. But I think it should come in IE as well.

Yes, IE7 shows it properly.

Can we have "Average article Popularity " Display over Members article page?
When we open the "Article Submitted" Link, in the Top-Left its showing the "Average article Rating ". along with that we can have display of "Average article Popularity " on Top-Right Section.
Thanks in advance !!

Chris,
I like it! Double clock on a forum message Bookmark, and it puts you into Date Filter All, with the Post highlighted, and all posts (primarily the OP) visible to see what the comment was all about. Now if there was an EASY way to delete that pesky little bookmark, or how about doing the same operation for View Thread without the bookmark (or was that one of the things necessary to get this to work)?
Dave.

I've made a tweak so that when viewing a single Thread the date filter is ignored. This should help a little.

Chris,
Didn't work. Clicked view thread and only got this reply from you. Double clocking still works but leaves a bookmark that should be deleted.
Dave.

Chris,
No problem, sorry I beat you to the upload of the fix. I will check it out in several days.
Dave.
PS Bet you didn't think anyone would be reading your posts on New Years day! I was supprised that you even answered mine today.

Just tried to "View Thread" for this thread - works now, thank you!

This panel doesn't come anywhere close to displaying current "best picks". There are two articles currently listed that are below a rating of 3.0.
"Why don't you tie a kerosene-soaked rag around your ankles so the ants won't climb up and eat your candy ass..." - Dale Earnhardt, 1997 ----- "...the staggering layers of obscenity in your statement make it a work of art on so many levels." - Jason Jystad, 10/26/2001

I don't like articles going there when they have one 5 (and no other votes) and are still unedited or were posted only hours earlier.
My opinion is that an article must be some minimum number of days old, have some minimum number of votes, and perhaps have some minimum number of views before it's eligible for Best Picks.

The best picks are cached every 5 or so minutes. We grab the top ones by score and in the meantime they can be voted down and will then be replaced. I'd rather have a potentially bad article have it's 5 mins in the sun than a good article miss out by us being too conservative.

Thanks, but I don't think the messages got merged; I had commented on both.

When posting an article I tried to add a tag that it's written against SQL Server 2008. However, I found only versions 2000 and 2005. Could it be possible to have version 2008 also?
