Has the "Latest News" forum been removed from the home page?
It also no longer seems to be accessible from the Community menu.

It could have been a load issue at startup (these happen but sort themselves out). Here's what I currently see

Thanks, it's back now. Also, my site seems responsive. Interweb shenanigans, I expect.
OT: FB images are no longer visible. Instead, their hint text displays what FB's AI thinks their content is.

Just an FYI - you seem to have a gremlin in the dropdown code (or you did up to last week sometime). Every once in a while the 'Insider News' section disappears from my 'community' dropdown. I suspect it has something to do with code to check whether anything has changed in that section, but if so, it isn't working because checking through the side list links reveals changes have been added since the last time I read it.
This does not happen often, but is annoying when it does.

It's great!
One small PITA though - if you hover it appears, but hovering on a tablet is a "long touch" operation and it normally switches to a "Forbidden" page as if it was a click before the summary appears.
It's not a problem with a mouse, but on touch it's a bit of a nuisance.

I have been on Code Project for long long time and I still enjoy the little jokes under the headlines, e.g:

Collecting $200?
Who is writing these?
Make it simple, as simple as possible, but not simpler.

Go to The Insider News[^] and you can see it yourself.
There are many times where the 2nd or 3rd comments are great too

Hi,
I've found an old question that said to post account removal requests here.
Therefore I'm here to ask for the removal of my account on this website, which I never use.
Thanks.

That information is out of date. You can now close your account yourself:
There are a few ways to do this. One way is to go your membership settings https://www.codeproject.com/script/Membership/Modify.aspx[^] and select the Privacy option (the rightmost option from the options on top of that page). There you can close and de-activate your account (in case you want to re-activate it at a later date), or use the GDPR style right to forget and have your account "forgotten."

Thanks, Griff,
My intuitive sense is a hesitancy to edit another member's post, except, perhaps, for correcting typos, or helping clarify some English language usage for a post obviously not by a native speaker.
I would respond with comments for other issues.
Would you ever edit someone else's code ? My sense is that is "not done."
cheers, Bill

I don't think I ever have - I'm with you on the "not done" sense; I'd rather leave a "you missed a space in 'GROUP BY'" or similar message.
But there are those who do just fix it so the OP isn't confused.

Same feeling here, but I believe Chris is wanting us to actually become more active on that part. He posted about that in the Focus group.
He needs to find a way that makes it acceptable for all part though, IMHO.

A reader has reported, and I have seen first hand, the images in my article being broken. In Chrome and Edge on my desktop they are fine, but on my smart phone the images are broken.

It should be good now. We have a distributed file system and sometimes the initial replication fails, but we have a sweeper service that actively ensures everything's up to date every couple of hours.
