Hey Chris,
Can you make it more obvious that a blog entry is not an article? Perhaps a header indicating that this is a blog entry that was pulled from [original url] on [date pulled] and perhaps a brief sentence about the entry not being an article. That'd help improve the reaction people are giving blog entries right now.

It used to be in my inbox when I arrived at work.
So I'd do a quick read of it in the morning and then read more in my break.
Now it arrives in the evening just before I leave from work, and since I'm a bit busy at home at the moment I find myself just ignoring the mail now, which is a shame since more than once there is interesting stuff in there.

Over the last two days (well, one and a half, really. It started Yesterday afternoon.) if I open a post within two or three of the bottom of the page, it opens on the next page but my view remains on the original page. So far only noticed in the Lounge and C# Forum.
If It's just me, don't worry too much, I'll learn to live with it. My system does seem to exhibit 'different' behaviour from others.

It is now happening in reverse (in C# Forum) where first message is at bottom of page and remainder at top of next page. If I open either of the top two posts of the second page, that post opens but my view reverts to the page containing the first message in the thread? I have to use the next page widget to look at the message I've opened.

Sometimes the time it takes to approve an article can vary depending on what kind of improvements are needed, how long it takes to improve the article, and the length of the list of articles needing to be approved.
I saw you improving your article step by step. We can't tell you how much we appreciate your efforts, not all our authors are as willing as you, and it makes a real difference for the Code Project users trying to learn.

Time and again this pops up for me:
Is your email address OK? Your email address has not been reconfirmed in a long time which means we can't send you forum reply notifications. To make this warning go away please click here to have a confirmation email sent so we can confirm your email address.
I believe, the email confirmation should get triggered only for the following cases right?
(1) New Signup
(2) Email Address Change
(3) Too much delivery failures
(4) Too much traffic to a particular email address from the website.
Not sure if 'has not been reconfirmed in a long time' case would be useful or just another added extra load for the servers?

When you logon we check to see if (a) you have subscribed to newsletters, and (b) if your email hasn't been confirmed in a long, long time.
Email confirmations occur when you click on a link in the weekly newsletter, or when you change your email and click on the 'confirm my email' link that is then sent to you.
The reason we do this because emails go stale, especially free email services like Hotmail and GMail. Someone may sign up with a free account, subscribe to the newsletters, then let their email account lapse with their email provider. We still send emails to that account because they haven't unsubscribed. Later, someone signs up with the email provide with that name and suddenly they find themselves getting emails from us they haven't asked for.
We don't want to send emails to people who haven't requested it so we have put in place limits on how long an account can go unconfirmed before we stop sending emails to it.
There is no load on the servers for this.

Last sunday afternoon (GMT), and similar the sunday before, the site refused each and every new message, with not-so-useful messages such as
"items needing attention: was unable to insert your message" or something similar. I don't recall whether it occurred on my first reply or not, so maybe I managed to get some things done, not sure.
Seems like the site entered kind of read-only mode, and needed an admin intervention to kick out of it. As a result several questions remained unanswered.
I do have the impression it may start of with some question, a reply being composed, the question being modified in the mean time, then the reply when composed its posting fails, and makes all later replies fail too.
Could you please look into this, and fix it or advise on what to do.

The issue was with a database backup leaving the database in a locked condition. I'm talking to the admin team at the hosting centre to see if they can shed some light on this.
