I think it looks ok... its not about being grammatically correct... its just to differentiate a quote easily.

I actually like it, it makes the quote stand out from the other text. I've seen this used in books as well so its not like its a bad method.

Recent reputation history table seems to go past its border (fixed layout) when you have a really long line of text in one of the boxes ("item name" is the one I'm noticing this with).

I have, as well. A quick question though - I have a spanky new membership icon, and have spanky new message icons, but clicking them tells me I don't have the rights to perform that option, why give me the icons if I can't do anything with them?

To prepare you for the possibility of using them.
It's all just a test you know, see how good you are and such
And aren't you jedi powers good enough you don't need no icons?

I noticed that in this tip/trick and its alternate have two headers on each PRE code block. Looks a bit like this:
Collapse | Copy Code
Collapse | Copy Code
Working on implementing a toggle for PRE blocks in multiple langauges? It's not quite working yet.

Looks like the form to vote on the Best ASP.NET Article of May 2011 has been taken down from the homepage, which I assume is because voting has concluded. Few issues:
- I wanted to see the results. The only way I could find to do that was to go to the voting page and recast my vote. Perhaps link to "view results" from that page (particularly if I have already voted)?
- When I submitted my vote, I was shown a message that said something like "you have already voted". What happens if I read one of the articles after voting the first time and decide to change my vote? I would think that should be allowed.
- It would be nice if, rather than just removing the voting link from the homepage, it was replaced with a message that states something along the lines of "voting has concluded and results are being tabulated. Please check back for results in 24 hours." As it stands, I have no idea when I will see the results (or even where I will see the results).

These are surveys, so go to the Survey page[^], choose "General" and you'll get the list there.
I'll add 1 and 2 to the todo.

That makes sense. Perhaps adding "Competition" as another drop down item would be an improvement. Upon seeing the other types of surveys on that page, I had dismissed this page as the place to find competition surveys. I had dismissed it entirely when I came across the Competitions page. When I clicked on Best ASP.NET Article of May 2011, the page I got was fairly general and seemed useless for what I wanted. Not sure why this page would list "latest articles" but not "survey results" (might also be good to have a "vote" button before voting has concluded). I saw that it listed a current winners list, but that page was essentially empty.
I suppose the main thing to note here is that there are seemingly multiple ways to get to the desired data, but one is not obvious and the other is not fully implemented (according to my expectations as a user).

I was trying to search The Lounge for reposts, but I got 12 pages of results. Could you add something to the search functionality that allows the user to search only the thread starter messages (i.e., exclude the replies)? I think this existed in the old search functionality, but was removed when the search feature was "upgraded".

When a user is reported as a spammer, or a message is reported as spam (a certain number of times), I think it would be a good idea if the site automatically removed all URLs within the reported messages).

Interesting idea. I was actually thinking that nuking all content, everywhere, from a spammer is the better answer.

Hello,
if for any reason (let's say curiosity) I want to check how many votes and how those votes are spreaded in the points of one post in the Q&A section, when I hover the mouse on the stars, the small window appears, but the z position is not completely right as the red flag to report de message is not covered by the floating window with results and therefore there are some values that can't be seen.
This happens only in short questions as the space between the question and the flag is not big enough.
You could see that behavior here[^].
Thank you!
