In Item column in Reputation History screen I am getting Related File <a href="http://www.codeproject.com/KB/cs/Dynamic_Crystal_Report.aspx">crystalreport.zip</a>[<a href="http://www.codeproject.com/KB/cs/Dynamic_Crystal_Report.aspx" target="_blank" title="New Window">^</a>] .
But, when i click the crystalreport.zip[^] in item column it is going to another article. Its not mine. This in my article Step by Step Creation of Crystal Report using its Features Group, Graph, Cross-Tab and Sub Report[^].
Please check what is the problem!!!

I reported an object and then realized it was a mistake. Is it possible to negate/remove a report once it's been - ummmm - reported?
If not, I recommend that this feature be added.
I further suggest that the number of reports and number of approvals be displayed when we mouse over the appropriate icons.

Good point about unreporting...

Even those using The Force make mistakes sometime. What to do in the case of accidental reporting. There should be undo. After all, "Accept answer" does have undo. It's logical to have it everywhere.

But I bet nobody has ever heard Darth Vader say, "Oops, sorry. My Bad. I guess that's why they call it 'the dark side'... Ha ha."

Probably nobody heard it, but you know why? Because Darth Vader was too weak, in fact! He never was strong enough to admit his faults, perhaps until the very end. Whole idea of this story is about it. It teaches us how to tell a real man from a weak-minded one, even a Jedi, dark or not.

Absolutely agree. Everything can happen. Undo should be on all operations, ideally.
One time I reported my own post as abuse, accidentally. Then I came to the same idea.
Good that you put it forward.

Some little person about 3 inches tall just left (4) one votes on threads on my profile page. They only add up to (-8) on the Richter scale but I thought you guys should know anyhow.
Thanks.

I to have just had a similar thing happen (6 votes of -2), the plot thickens.

If you are certain you know the identity of the culprit then you can use the "Report Member" flag on their home page.

Unfortunately, I have no clue who did it or I would, as you have said, reported them.

This keeps happening to me on a semi-regular basis...
...its always from voters with no significant weight to their votes either, so it makes me think people do it maliciously or just to annoy.

I find most things that annoy me to be malicious in nature.

Why do people care about this?
I don't get the facination with the occasional -2 or even -8 on the Rep Points. Such downvotes are easily swamped by the rest of a members contribution. Overall, even with the occasional downvote the overall ratings are probably about right.
So who cares?

Not me - I haven't looked at the breakdown since it first appeared. It just isn't important, and the reputation isn't the reason I post here.

Agree. I really only care that I have enough rep points so that I can contribute to the site as much as possible. Having 200K+ rep points means nothing to me.

However, Pete, I do remember you raising quite a stink a while back when you and some others were getting uni-voted a lot.
The reason I brought this up is that the down votes were malicious and had nothing to do with a jerky response or post by me. Don't like what I posted, that's fine by me. Down vote me because you hate me, then that is malicious.

Errm I don't remember that. I do remember posting, several times, about revenge voting which I think is a real problem on the site. I also complain about rampant univoting because it is targetted site vandalism.

They are not a site bug (some would argue this) and they are not a suggestion (by any stretch of the imagination).
I believe you can go to the spammer's profile page and report them there. You are not going to get any brownie points for reporting them here.

That's already been discussed here[^].
I doubt you'll stop the reports here and I'm not convinced it should. Making a small post about them here exposes the spammer to a few more people and as such insure that the spammer is removed faster, before he/she can make even more spam threads (they don't get removed so they keep cluttering up the forums).
Besides like I said in the thread I mentioned, these threads usually are only 1 or 2 messages so I don't think they cause that much noise.
