There is already a "-- modified 5 hrs ago." message at the bottom of modified posts.
I don't see the value of knowing how many times a post has been modified. The latest modified date is sufficient.

Hi, where should we discuss php zend related questions??
|
|
|
|
|
Quick Answers would seem to be a popular choice.

then may be we can have same for C# forum, web development forum etc ?
Sorry, but am not convinced. Zend php is must for the forums unless php is allowed to be discussed in any forums including lounge

Yeah. PHP forum should have been there. But in the mean time, why don't you try MySql forum for PHP related questions. I am positive that you will receive answers. MySql Forum[^]

We had one but the traffic was minimal so we merged it all into the LAMP[^] forum

ok that makes sense. But i guess there is a typo under the forum heading - shouldn't it be Linux, Apache, Mysql, Php? or may be LAMP, perl, python forum would sound better and people will stop complaining.

The P in LAMP seems to stand for whatever you want it to these days
(But yes, I will switch it to PHP)

Hi There. Is there any way (or is it planned) to merge two accounts on CodeProject?
I know this does not matter but I think using this technique, CodeProject server will be more than happy if some unused accounts are deleted after their information (or data) is taken to another account one wants to pursue.
Now I am posting this question using an account which I made nearly in my childhood however I don't know how much this idea will be appreciated.

We can merge accounts. Just let me know which two accounts you wish to have merged.

Now that’s a relief. Could you please merge my other accounts: Christian Graus, Nish Sivakumar, John Simmons, OriginalGriff and Pete O'Hanlon under the account I’m posting this from?
I’m really tired to support so many sock puppet accounts anymore.
Thanks.

Thank GOD.
Can you please move everything (just everything) from 'Overloded_Name' to my current account which is 'MuzammilPak'? Then you can delete the account 'Overloaded_Name' (or I will deactivate it by myself)
Finally a message or email can also be sent. Thanks.

Hello, I didn't remember that I previously had a Code Project account so I created a new one by mistake. After I noticed you can get an username and the one I use all over Internet wasn't available. I can't remember which email I used to create the previous one but @warmthis definitely mine. Can you please merge those accounts and leave the email of this account to access the merged one. Thanks in advance.
|
|
|
|
|
Send me an email from the @warmthaccount and I'll merge.

As I said I cannot access the account because I don't remember the email associated. If you give me a hint of the email, I will email you from there.

Can you please try again? I see it from where I sit, and I logged in using your account (don't worry - I don't get to see your password) and could see it then too.

See it now (but didn't use it, for the record) after clearing cache.
First time it happens - or that I notice.
Thanks

You posted right in the middle of a site update, so that could have been the issue.

Something like:
<pre lang"cs">
public void MyMethod()
{
<sub>
A();
B();
</sub>
C();
D();
<sub>
E();
F();
</sub>
}
Results to:
public void MyMethod()
{
+ -------------------------------------------
B();
+ -------------------------------------------
}
And after clicking/exapnding both +:
public void MyMethod()
{
-
A()
B();
C();
D();
-
E()
F();
}

Same here. But that is because CP doesn't support it yet, and the OP is a suggestion to add that functionality (Which, in my opinion, will be rather useful)
(Please ignore this if you were joking)
public class SysAdmin : Employee
{
public override void DoWork(IWorkItem workItem)
{
if (workItem.User.Type == UserType.NoLearn){
throw new NoIWillNotFixYourComputerException(new Luser(workItem.User));
}else{
base.DoWork(workItem);
}
}
}
