There used to be "first previous ... next last" links at the top of the threads. It is gone.

Can't you squeak it between something at the top? Scrolling down to navigate is really tedious.

Hi CP
I want to suggest that the comments system in Quick Answers section to be changed to a Live Chat so that the person who asks the question and the one who is answering it can chat live to solve the issue in a short time. In the current system, the person who posts the question does not know whether the person who has posted the solution is still online to ask clarifications or anything to him.

Sorry, but this isn't in our plans.

Oh good.... thank you!

Thank goodness for that.

Not implementing that gets my vote as well!

Just my 2cents worth:
The comments system allows for any user to see the real history of discussion on a topic. A chat based system would not be tracking that conversation and would render a high number of answers out of context as the comments and discussion of answers provides that extra information.
I wasn't, now I am, then I won't be anymore.

If an item in the "Latest Discussions" div contains an item whose text is too wide (i.e. wider than 33% of page width - as can happen when someone pastes a long link that doesn't wrap), there is excess whitespace between the "Post a question" and "Search our articles" headings at the top of the home page. Basically, the "Search our articles" heading (and the rest of the RHS column) is no longer visible unless you increase the width of the browser to close to 1920 pixels.

I was just suggesting to a QA querist that he needs to post a comment or reply directly given teh number of members, and oh...it's gone!
It's not important (especially since a lot of them are probably sock puppets, or one-time-visitors) but it was handy for things like that.

Trimming the whitespace would be nice.
The message title font, such as in the Lounge, appears different than the username and date fonts. Shrinking the message title and whitespace would greatly improve the look.
If you could change the background color of all new threads. I know they're bolded right now, but that's not enough of a differentiator for me.
Shrink the borders width a tad. I know zooming in takes care of that, but a whole inch on either side is a little too much.
Thanks!

Hit "fluid" (bottom of each page) to get rid of the side margins.

The sides are too thin now. The circles in the left-side menu are halfway outside the screen now.

When I go to an article and click one of the downloads, it starts downloading immediately. There is no intermediate page that I can see.

Hi,
Unfortunately I cannot sort by number of votes and IMHO this is lack, because I am choosing Rating Range e.g. 4.00-5.00 and sort by relevance, and I get posts with rating 5, but only with 2 votes.
It would be nice to have this option in sorting too, and maybe multiple sort criteria, e.g. 1 - by relevance, 2 - by votes desc.

First of all the new theme looks awesome!
I would like to suggest that please mark all the thread in the forums clearly, right now it is hard to distinguish between new thread and their replies. We can use the css class when it is highlighted (light orange when hovered) for the thread or just add orange border at the top (like when it is expanded), so that it is clear when new thread starts and replied ends.
Also one more small thing, in the home page 'Our Community' is not pointing to The Lounge.
Thanks!

Context: When I click on my name from anywhere, I'm taken to my profile view (http://www.codeproject.com/script/Membership/View.aspx?mid=3423553[^]).
From that view, I can see an 'overview' of my current reputation, with a 'score' and a 'title' per category.
"Issue": Both the category name and the title are hyperlinks. But they both point to the same part of the 'documentation' of reputation, for instance: http://www.codeproject.com/script/Membership/Reputation.aspx#Author[^]
Suggestion: I would find it more useful (and logical, as hyperlinks go) to have the link on the "title" go to the title documentation, at the bottom of the Reputation.aspx page.

This menu appears orange. This color merges with the orange at the end of the other menu.
This is perhaps against the new style standards which have orange right at the end of the menu as a line.

The links used to change colour if you had viewed them - but they don't any more.
Please, can we have this back?
