We should have different color schemes for each day of the week. Soothing colors for Monday, exciting colors for Friday.

How about random colors each day. Confuse the hell out of people.
I think computer viruses should count as life. I think it says something about human nature that the only form of life we have created so far is purely destructive. We've created life in our own image.

The menu text on the left hand side are not aligned for those that have an orange circle. I suggest adding an empty image for those that don't need it to make it more snazzy. Also, can you please make the circles slightly smaller.

Can you hit ctrl-F5? It uses padding and background images, not inline images, so no empty image needed.

Because of a small white space between notification number and the notifications when I move the mouse pointer to choose a notification they would go.
I mean there is a space betwwen OnMouseLeave of notification number and OnMouseOver of notifications.
Thank you.

Hello,
Can you insert something like a checkbox to allow us to show/hide download counter for our articles.
Sometimes we insert external links for downloads and download counter is shown automatically when there is a download link. (It shows always 0 in such cases.)
Not very important, but it would be good...
Thanks...

The download count is shown when the system detects there is a downloadable zip associated with your article. Please send me a link to your article that's showing the download count when it shouldn't.

Link: [^]
I think the download count is shown when the system detects '<ul class="download">...</ul> '. Now there is two zip files associated with this article, but they are there just for "Browse Code" page, not to be downloaded. I changed the unordered list with an ordered list (<ol> ) to make it hidden and now it is hidden. (On the other hand, counters are still visible on our article list [^].)
Maybe it can be some thing like '<ul class="exdownload"> ' for external download links.
Thanks.

As I said, download count is triggered by the presence of downloadable files, of which I can see 2 in the article's folder. The text in the article doesn't affect the download count at all.
This raises an issue with your article: we strongly ask that you provide a local copy of downloads in case the offsite links break (and in our experience, almost all do, eventually). Even if the local version is an older set of code, that's fine, and please continue to link to the latest offline version if that suits too.

You are right to worry about external download links. I will never write an external download link without providing local copy of the files...
But I still think that visibility of the counter is affected by the content of the article.
Because the download counter was visible when I used an ul tag with 'class="download"' and it was hidden when I removed the ul tag and inserted an ol tag without a class attribute.
The counter is hidden now inspite of two zip files, because there isn't an ul tag that has 'class="download"' attribute.
I am sorry if I am wasting your time.
Thank you again.

Actually you're correct and I was wrong: We used to have it so it checked against local files but the check was too slow, so I have a nice, neat TODO in the code to (a) check against local downloads, and (b) cache the result so it's fast enough.
My apologies.

Having had a response to a question, I would like to add a thanks and a comment.
How do I do that?
EDIT - OK Sussed it! It is not instinctive that the comment button relates to the answer rather than the original question.
May need looking at.

I don't agree with Dave about it being not intuitive, but you could add "to this solution" to the button caption.
Or instead of the button, make a "Comment or question" directly in the solution box (like the "reply" to the comments).
