Then it would still be a bug, just in another way
I will never again mention that Dalek Dave was the poster of the One Millionth Lounge Post, nor that it was complete drivel.

He looks to be gone now. It just takes some time.
Just because the code works, it doesn't mean that it is good code.

Even you hadn't been here for a year, you may remember that cross posting not much tolerated...Be patient it's a weekend for most CPians, so things are move a bit slowly. More, you kind of question is requires CP staff - which make it a bit slower...
I'm not questioning your powers of observation; I'm merely remarking upon the paradox of asking a masked man who he is. (V)

I was "improving question" on Object Reference is required for the non-static field?[^] to wrap the source code with <pre lang="c#"> but when I did, part way through the code, in the middle of the line, it just stopped rendering the code (it just skips it) to the </pre> tag.
There's nothing particularly unusual in the line where it stops.
I even deleted and re-entered that line of code, with no effect.
Just to check, I changed the lang="c#" to be "lang="text".
Now it displays all of the code, but of course, it doesn't use c# highlighting.

I have commented the line...
return "<a href="\".*\"">(?<name>.*)</a>";
Seems like an issue with special characters.

Did you notice that it is still getting confused (differently) further down?
On the line:
string firmwarePath = System.IO.Path.Combine(appPath, "Firmware\\");
It seems to not believe the string is ended and colors the remaining code as if in a string.

Yes, I noticed Matt. Cheers !!!

Hi,
I have just posted an article and each time the zip file I included is re-downloaded it is corrupted. It was fine earlier before release. I have re-uploaded the file once, it shows 1MB, but when re-downloaded it is 29Kb, and corrupted.
Here is the article:
C# WPF Dependency Injection Data Demo[^]
Any ideas.
Thanks,
Baxter.

I'm experiencing the same problem with my article Google Translator[^] which was updated on 9 March 2014. See this[^] thread.

Mmmh nope, this cannot happen. His account can be closed if too many people would report him, but nobody but from the staff can directly close an account.
It would not surprise me that he finally got reported, since he's been playing with the limits of trolling for a while now.
Anyway ... his account is not closed (anymore?).

What he posted in the Lounge was in no way trolling. It's better than 90% of the drivel that gets posted there. Did he post anything else there that I somehow missed because I frequent CP on a daily basis?

Do not get me wrong, I am with you for this last post. But I do have examples where he was trolling; I first blamed it on culture/language, but it was definitely not the case...
Oh well, this is already too much philosophy on yet another subject that does not deserve it Let's go play outside !

Perhaps, but we all have trolled at times, like my recent escalade that tore us apart. However, he's one of the lesser ones in my opinion and I seem to recall you defending Erudite_Eric just this week, and MMM is tamer.
I'm heading out at my usual time of 2 PM. Early to work, early to leave.

I have nothing against him (actually I never really had anything against anyone, AFAIR), was only trying to explain the behaviour of the herd.
I'll follow your example : Late to work, early to leave (there is no need being late twice a day ).

Never thought it was you. Just surprised that you thought MMM was a troller, but justified EE, even though I don't think he is one either.
Nice quote. I hope you practice it daily.

"nobody but from the staff"
I included you in the staff.
[Edit] Or does the phrase "nobody but someone" mean exactly the opposite of what I intended to say ? I meant "nobody apart from the staff can close accounts.". [This ten seconds of English idioms formulation were kindly given to you by the GYGRO, get your grammar right! Organisation].

I'm doubling the number of reports needed to close an account.
I'm on the fence with this one though. Some people simply cause a lot of needless running around for the sake of causing a lot of needless running around.

Unfortunately, a lot of people just jump on the bandwagon in complaining about someone on something when they see others do it too. Similarly, everyone starts playing childish games like "who walked where in the morning seeing what" (yesterday's Lounge posts or before) and building up post after post after post of drivel. It's mob mentality whichever direction it's going. However, if someone doesn't like it, they should just ignore it.
Maybe it's time to add a blocked list for users so that we can avoid drivel from people. I'm sure I'll make the cut too.

There's a reason I don't frequent the lounge much anymore. There are still some great post but they do get lost in the drivel. I still like the forums though.
