I was able to apply an update to your article keeping those tags without getting the error. Is the error still occurring for you?
Thanks,

It now is in moderation, maybe is the active status a factor?

Help me to understand what I'm saying, and I'll explain it better to you
Rating helpful answers is nice, but saying thanks can be even nicer.

I just observed a limitation in the forums section. When the message is held for release from spam queue with the status ('
Not publicly visible '), there is no option to Edit and Delete. At least for the poster-owner, these options should be made available, IMHO.

Seems like the "edit" option would provide the spammers with a simple way to circumvent the spam filter - they would just keep tweaking the spam post until it's no longer detected as such.

I have logged in and tried to change my eMail address but when I submitted the new address (oldbikerpete@gmail.com) the web page said that that address is in use.
This is an address I have maintained for many years, so it must be mine.
Thinking that I had previously created a CodeProject account with that address, I navigated to the login page, entered that address and selected 'forgot password'. That web page then announced that my membership records could not be found. I also tried entering my name into that dialog with the same result.
Help!!?!!

Tracked down the issue and believe I have corrected the problem.
Please try and create your account again.

Problems unchanged:
Try to change password to: oldbikerpete@gmail.com
Try to access 'forgot password for: oldbikerpete@gmail.com

|
|
|
I forgot to clear the cache.
Try again.

Settings have changed a bit but no success - yes I did supply the new password.
Forgot password attempt still returns 'no records' response.

I've applied the Nuclear option and manually deleted all the records related to this email from the database an flushed the cache.
Please try again.
Sorry for the long, drawn out process.

YAY! (Dances a little jig around the office singing (badly) 'We are the Champions'!).
It's a shame you had to apply the 'nuclear' option. That always leaves a sort of expectation that there's a bug in there lurking. (Cue theme from 'Jaws');
Anyway, email changed, settings updated. Thank you for your diligence.
Peter.

Hi,
This may be an unusual question. I have registered here 17 years ago with the username "agabor", but then I did not actively use the site. I re-registered later, and now I am a more active member, and I would like to get back my original username. I use this username in every programming related website, and it bothers me that I can not use it here because of my own forgetfulness. And as my original registration happened 17 years ago, I do not remember what e-mail address I used, or even if that address still exists. Could this profile be deleted?

I have an article that I'd like to update. I have pressed the update article button and made my modifications to the content. I have then described my modifications and pressed the publish button.
The form failed due to too many tags. The error message tells me that there's a maximum of 8 tags for the article.
Truth is: I never changed the tags. They are 5 tags. The article was published with all the 5. I kept them 5.
What I have tried:
Refresh the page.
Save the article as draft and come back again to submit my changes.
Delete all tags and add them again.
Auto-fill tags, delete all, then add them manually again.
