Possibly - I use the Premium version so I don't see them. Which one did you find?

FBReader[^].
It can be extended with plugins and it comes in Catalan! which is a plus for me.
It looks like it can handle a lot of formats... I don't know, it looks promising.
Thank you for posting Pete!

I am no longer getting the Daily News. I have scoured my settings to see if there is a setting for this and I do not see one.
|
|
|
|
|
Don't worry. Everyone is taking some time off for the holiday's, so no Daily News until the new year.

Some time ago, I renamed my username from my full name to tkrn. I would like to retro-actively update any occurrences of my past username since it has my full name it. Can I request that any finding of my old username to be renamed to tkrn?
Thank you,
Patrick

I read this review ... posted today ... of DevXPress here: [^], and I wanted to post a comment asking the author if they had actually purchased (at full price) the software reviewed ... in my mind a "fair question" (not an accusation) that would help me evaluate the nature of the review.
But, I note I cannot post a comment.
thanks, Bill

There is a feeling that potentially there may have been a reward for posting the article and that all is not as it appears.

Hi Pete, I understand that the article was "moved," but why should that prohibit my posting a (I hope non-confrontational response) comment on the article ?
thanks, Bill

It wasnt moved, I have deleted the article, which is why you cannot comment on it. The article just feels a little too markety. There`s a link at the end inviting to try a free trial, it purely discusses features, ànd it even has a decent SEO layout. It is possible it is legitimate, but when I can`t tell the difference between it and marketing articles I have seen in the past, it strays outside the editorial intent behind that section.
Thanks,

Thanks, Sean,

I followed a link from the "Daily Build," to the article.
Interesting that a removed article can still "be there;" perhaps it is in the process of being removed, as yet ?
Happy New Year, Bill

I wanted to know of the way, like how can I Search for a query for my previous answers, that might contain the query in it?
I was trying to search, but that doesn't give any way to search for my answers, which that query. Can I get to know of these methods here?

on the search page http://www.codeproject.com/search/aspx, on the left hand side there is a number of checkboxes. Check Answers and Just My Stuff and enter * into the search box at the top of the form.
Click Search button.
Just your answers should be displayed.

Thanks a lot for your answer Matthew, that helped me.

Hi Matthew,
while searching for messages, QA and so on in the S&A Forum... there are times that the user got nuked but there are still messages from them. For that reason I use to double check building my own query like:
http://www.codeproject.com/script/Forums/Messages.aspx?fmid=XXXXXXXX
http://www.codeproject.com/script/Answers/MemberPosts.aspx?tab=answers&mid=XXXXXXXX
http://www.codeproject.com/script/comments/MemberComments.aspx?mid=XXXXXXXX
Where I just replace the XXXXXXXXX with a valid Member ID (active or not).
Yesterday I had a copy + paste error when using the one of forum messages. I copied a "[" too much at the end. Instead of telling me something like "can not be found" it brought a weirdy list mixing users (I guess it defaults to the full activity of the site).
Is that by design? I just wanted to let you know (just in case)

If something has a solution... Why do we have to worry about?. If it has no solution... For what reason do we have to worry about?
Help me to understand what I'm saying, and I'll explain it better to you
Rating helpful answers is nice, but saying thanks can be even nicer.

I got an email from Bruno Sprecher[^] asking if I closed his account:
Dear Paul
Thank you very much for your reply. It is now the second time I'm closed. Ok, the first one, one can maybe find some strange comments from my side -even, it was not strange enough to close my acc, I think ...
This time CP message was:
Hi Bruno Sprecher,
Your account at CodeProject has been reported as The member is a spammer 1 time and is now deactivated.
So 1 time, seems to be a very high pointed member.
My login/mail is: [DELETED].ch
This mail is only junk. I use it only in worst case.
Thank you very much
Bruno

Hi Bruno!
No, not me – I didn’t see any spam there, or I would have reported it in the spam and abuse forum – and you don’t appear there, so it’s probably either
1) Someone who doesn’t like you (and has friends or well-trained sock puppets)
2) Someone with an itchy trigger finger and thinks any mention of GoDaddy is spam.
It takes a number of votes – around 12 – to kick a member unless one of the Staff get involved, and I can’t see that in this case.
If you have a second account, you can post a request for re-instatement here: http://www.codeproject.com/suggestions.aspx and the Hamsters are likely to smile upon you (eventually, it is Christmas). If you don’t, then let me know what email you used to log in and I’ll post a request on your behalf.
Best regards,
Paul "OriginalGriff" Griffin.

Did you kicked me because of this question?
I don't get the Point where I posted spam...
Bruno
One report and it closed? This seems a bit odd - and I didn't see any spam in the lounge thread: http://www.codeproject.com/Messages/4969425/GoDaddy-some-expirience.aspx[^]
Is the new anti-spam feature getting a little over enthusiastic?
Anyway, if it was a one-shot-kill, I think he'd like his account back, please!

Something seems incorrect. I've re-activated the account. We'll look into it.
