Even if the article/tip is published, you can report it.
That is the way, we can clean the poor articles/tips.
Different moderators view might be different for the same article/tip which is marginally correct/wrong. I think because of this reason, approver's names are not getting displayed: To avoid argument among moderators.
My Suggestion: In 1 or 2 cases when article is marginally OK, i have approved it and then felt that there should be take back option.

My problem that this specific member is still here - just been reported here[^] as a plagiarist...twice at least...

What disturbs be most that the member got a best article prize for a plagiarized article, got other plagiarized articles, had some crap 'articles', but still smiling at us...

That plagiarized prize article is deleted and will stay deleted.

In many places in forum, there is abusive/spam message removed by moderator/staff.
If the message is removed and there is no reply to it, what is the point showing it in the forum.
People (including me) have the tendency to expand the message and see even when we know that the message is removed.

It appears we have a caching issue, and under some conditions the message isn't being removed from the cache when deleted.

I don't think it is a bug. The month has just started and there are only a few users having answered questions. So even a user with a single downvoted answer is listed.

After discovering an error in an answer to my own question, I was not able to remove the answer I had submitted.
It seems to me that I should be able to remove an answer that I have submitted. Especially if it is in error.

Go to your account page and choose My Settings or move the mouse over the login name on top and choose the same item. There is a check box on the right below the profile image to close the account.

It looks to be 5 hours off, so my guess is that related to timezones.

Our system looks at the timestamp and deduces intent.
It saw "5:56AM" and decided that no, that wasn't possible. Developers don't code at that time of the day. 1AM? That's probably more like it given someone was in the zone and going strong.
I'll make some adjustments so it can deal with outliers like yourself.
