Works OK if you escape the leading underscores
\__FILE\__
produces
__FILE__

I saw that Chris fixed it and saw that he used escape char, but I actually used to MARKUP (as web developer) so actually MARKDOWN stands in my way...
My question wasn't (or wasn't only) about how to fix, but how to turn off...
Thank you in any case!!!

Alex: Fix it? How you gonna fix this?

Markdown shouldn't actually be in use for QA. I went the route of escaping the __ (which didn't actually do anything) and then remembered that Markdown was disabled so just saved the edits and it all worked.
I'll dig in a little to see what's happening and ensure it's still disabled.

Under IE 11, Chrome and Firefox.

IE11 is okay if I put it into compatibility mode.
FF 37.0.2 - doesn't work
Chrome 42.0 - doesn't show up
Opera 28.0 - doesn't show up
Android 4.4 browser - doesn't show up
Safari (iPAd2) - doesn't show up
At work, I'm using IE9 and it shows up there (without compatibility mode).

What I noticed is that in Chrome the links don't show up when your browser window is wide enough. They do show up when you resize the window below a certain width.
In Firefox the links show regardless of the window's width.
Hope this can help in resolving the issue.

For me it seems to be fixed together with the other problems that popped up this morning.
Including the one[^] I reported.

Full HD 1920.
Updated fastJSON and fastBinaryJSON today, RaptorDB 2 days ago (25th April).

Turns out the issue was that you didn't check the "Mark this article as updated" checkbox just above the "Submit" button when updating the article. I've done it for FastJSON, but will leave it to you to update the other.
