Sounds like it. But with plagues, it usually runs its course and ends. Let's hope this one does just that.

Trying to work out which particular variety you're talking about.

We haven't defined the syntax for Pascal. Let me see if I can hunt down a quick reference. It's been too long...

I'll reply to this message with a test message.

How to repro:
Post a message with this body (without the spaces in the smiley of course).
Test : - (

In the ALT text for the image I'm adding characters that the system is mistaking for another smiley. Just need to update it so it is a little more sensible.

Thanks, I read that as "go live soon, Nish" but was disappointed that it was just soonish.
Thanks though

When a message gets updated, does the OP get another email about that? It doesn't make sense to update the date/time of the thread, but there should be some way of notifying readers that a message has been modified.

OP meaning original poster of the message being updated?
In this case, no. The only time sending the author of a message an email saying their message was edited was if someone other than them edited it, which is an admin-only thing and so rare.

Chris Maunder wrote: OP meaning original poster of the message being updated?
Yes. Just understood that. I guess OP is the person you're replying to.
So it's better to post a new reply than to modify an existing one.
|
|
|
|
|
Ah - so when you say "modify a message" you meant "modify a message that is a reply to the OP's message".
Again, we don't, but I'm going to add a TODO
